We are currently assisting a mixed secondary near Slough as they look to appoint a teacher of Geography to join them from January. This role is available on a full-time, permanent basis and would suit someone who is looking to deliver their skills to children of all backgrounds and abilities. There is scope for a position of responsibility within the department for applicants with the right level of experience.
This mixed 11-18 secondary is based near the Berkshire town of Slough, and enjoys excellent transport links into London as well as the neighbouring counties of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The school has a strong local reputation and is supported by a strong SLT.
It is hoped that the successful candidate will hit the ground running. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to relate to young people are essential, as is a thorough knowledge of the curriculum through Key Stages 3 & 4. KS5 teaching may be available for those with sufficient experience at this level.
