Our client schools have a wide range of vacancies right across the age groups and curriculum. They often come to us before advertising their roles.
If you have recently qualified, Hourglass has a wide range of early career teaching jobs. The changes to England’s teacher recruitment and retention strategy mean that we no longer talk about NQTs (newly qualified teachers) – instead, the early career framework underpins a two-year induction period for ECTs’ (early career teachers’) professional development in early career teacher jobs. The aim is to improve the training and development opportunities available to teachers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and inspiring practitioner of Maths to join a forward-thinking and innovative secondary school in Hillingdon. The position is offered on a mainscale basis to start from September 2025, on a permanent basis.
Applications are invited from teachers with a passion for Maths that is clearly conveyed in the lessons they teach. It would be helpful for candidates to have a working knowledge of the current syllabus, but this is not essential.
The successful candidate will ideally hold QTS, QTLS or an overseas teaching qualification. ECTs and instructors are welcome to apply.
