Are you a History specialist looking for a new environment from September? If so, we’d like to speak with you!

We’re working with a mixed secondary school in the Berkshire town of Reading as they look to appoint a History teacher on a permanent contract, starting in September. The timetable will mainly be based around KS3 and KS4 teaching. The ability to also offer Humanities would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, QTLS or an overseas teaching qualification and recent experience teaching History at secondary level. Strong communication skills, effective classroom and practical skills and a clear desire to help pupils to excel in all elements are essential. Experienced practitioners and ECTs are equally welcome to apply.

The school is a large mixed secondary with a settled leadership team and a strong track record of delivering strong outcomes for pupils. Facilities are modern and the school is sited at the centre of a thriving community.
