James Letven

Senior Manager

After studying Business at Manchester Metropolitan University, James put his studies to good use in a role in Branch Banking at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Fortunately for us he decided to make the move into education recruitment in 2012 when he joined Hourglass Education.

For James, successful recruitment consultants must first listen to what their teachers want. After all, they are at the centre of everything they do. He says, ‘the job becomes a lot simpler when you view it as a service, rather than trying to “sell” to either party’.

Candidates

Your next career move is our business. You can trust us to make it count.

Schools

We’ll always go the extra mile to find the people you need.

Types of roles we recruit overseas candidates for:

Long-term supply

Long-term supply provides a level of security without the teacher or the school committing indefinitely.

Permanent roles

The majority of the roles we work on are permanent teaching posts in secondary schools in the south east of England.

Leadership roles

Ambition comes in all shapes and sizes. For some teachers, it’s all about the subject, but for others, moving up the career ladder means taking on management responsibilities.

Overseas teachers

Our role is to provide teachers with exactly what they need to relocate and thrive in the most exciting teaching opportunities in the UK.
